Our Environmental Pledge
All our apparels are hand printed with water-based (PVC-free) inks which makes them soft and light. And because water-based inks absorb deeper into the fabric, many of the openings between the fibers are left open. This gives water-based prints more breathability than a Plastisol print– which tends to plug up those tiny gaps.
FSC Certified Cards:
FSC certified products have been sourced from sustainable, well-maintained forests or recycled materials. The manufacturer who produces our FSC cards is also one of the leading ethical companies in the US, recycling all of their old pallets and food waste.
Where possible, we also aim to use 100% recycled or FSC approved materials for our stationery products.
Plastic Free Packaging:
We are slowly converting all our packaging to plant-based products except for art prints which will protected with archival poly bags. Following customer feedback, we have decided to continue to wrap our Pin and Patch Card ranges to prevent damage and theft. Therefore, greeting cards and patches are packaged in PLA, PLA is a plant-based product and performs differently than traditional poly bags. PLA material has great benefits associated with its Compostability, meaning they will disintegrate within 6 months into Co2, Water and humus - a soil nutrient when industrially composted.
Recycled FSC Envelopes:
All our envelopes are made from sustainable, US-recycled Fleck Kraft. Our manufacturers are audited and accredited to FSC mix standards. They recycle all paper-based material waste every day, including all envelope paper and cardboard, which is then used by a recycling partner to manufacture new recycled paper-based products, such as our Fleck Kraft envelopes.
100% Recycled Gift Wrap:
All our gift wrap is made from 100% recycled paper.
Plastic-Free Packaging Pledge:
We working on moving all of our orders to cardboard boxes and are removing all unnecessary plastic covers from our stationery and giftware, replacing them with bio-cello alternatives where possible. We are continuously looking for improvements we can make to our packaging processes to make them more sustainable.
No Glitter, Little Flitter:
We don’t like to add glitter elements to our designs (we feel we are snazzy enough). However, where we do, we only use biodegradable flitter products.
Where possible, we source our products from US manufacturers to reduce our carbon footprint. We are proud to say the majority of our products are US manufactured or a collaboration with a women-run vendor.
